February 1st-4th- Las Vegas - Shot show and UFC 81- The boys from TST headed down to Las Vegas to watch Tim fight for the belt and to take care of some business at the SHOT show. We had a blast on the strip and watching the fights.

March 28th- April 1st - TST Outdoors joined up with Gary Levox and the boys from Rascal Flatts on a four day hunt in Tennessee. The birds weren’t real vocal but still ended up taking three birds, all of which were taken off of turkey field. To find out more about turkey field check out our 2009 DVD, The Real Deal 2. Gary and Tony teamed up in the same field and three birds came in and only two left and both hunters shot. The trip was a success and a lot of practical jokes were played complemented by superior acting skills from the crew. We also put our Medalist gear to the test hunting in the rain 3 out of the 4 days we were there. We were very pleased with how it held up. It made for an exciting start to the 2008 turkey season.

April 14th-17th -1st season shotgun in Iowa- Tim team teams up with the Mark and Terry for an exciting hunt. On the second morning of the hunt Tim takes a good bird, with some awesome footage to tag along. Be sure to check out this hunt on next year’s DVD.

April 28th- May 2nd - We hooked up with Rick and Julie Kreuter from Beyond the Hunt in Nebraska to chase some Merriam’s. We set up a surprise guest for Tim. Upon arrival Tim had no clue who he was hunting with. Current UFC heavyweight champ Randy Couture and Tim Sylvia battle it out with some birds in Nebraska. While the hunting was tough, they were able to get on some birds the third day and Tim and Randy had a chance to double up but apparently had trouble counting to three. Be sure to check out this hunt on next year’s DVD.

Food Plots - We started preparing food plots in February with control burns or should I say attempted control burns with temporary assistance from the two closest fire departments. After that we had then fields limed and worked up in March and April. This year has been tough will all the rain we have had. But so far the Biologic is looking great and the deer are already begging to tear it up. With the new and improved food plots we put in it should be an exciting year to watch them pour onto the biologic fields. We strategically divided up sections for summer forage, fall and late winter.
